the questions couples ask me the most
-
The law only requires one month’s notice, but most couples book me 3 to 18 months out.
-
damn straight I do. this is a safe space for all races, genders, religions, beliefs and sexual orientations. everyone is welcome here.
-
Absolutely! And if you’re a big wedding energy couple, travel anywhere in Victoria is included.
-
generally not, but if I am your MC and you’re getting married more than 2 hrs from my home, we might need to talk about it…
-
My pricing reflects my experience, responsibility, skill, and the amount of care I put into every couple.
You’re not just paying for a ceremony, you’re paying for the guidance, delivery, and overall experience.

i define an elopement as only the couple and their 2 witnesses, along with myself and maybe a photographer.
A micro wedding may also include some family/friends, and is generally 20 people or less.
i have generally found that couples planning elopements or micro weddings are not big fans of crowds or the spotlight. Additionally, such an intimate group doesn’t require retelling a story they’re already familiar with, and so I stick to just the legal requirements of getting you hitched.
then for those who want a few more people around (or a hundred), i’ll write something personalised that engages and entertains everyone with all the feels of your unique story. this can be as simple as you like, or full of side quests and all the trimmings! the choice is yours.
TLDR:
Elopement = couple + 2 witnesses, maybe a photographer
Micro wedding = up to 20 people, low-key but still some audience connection.
Big wedding energy = personalised ceremony for a bigger crowd, with all the feels and none of the drag.

I’m a big believer that a fast game is a good game! we will create space to acknowledge the enormity of this moment without dragging it on - which I reckon falls right into the 20 to 30 minute range.
pro tip - allow 45mins on your runsheet to provide an all important buffer for any kind of lateness, and those all important hugs/kisses/congrats your people want to shower you with.
-
Yep. I bring my own PA, wireless mics, signing pens, vow folders, and all the little bits and bobs.
The only thing I don’t provide is a signing table, and honestly, we don’t need one.
-
of course I will, i even have a handy little guide - The Hitched Guide to Wedding Vows.
-
technically no, unless they’re a legally registered celebrant. but they can write and perform your ceremony with a celebrant co-pilot taking care of the legal parts. I charge $1200 for this service if you’re interested :)
-
in short, nope. we don’t need to practice how to walk, you’ve been doing it your whole life. and we don’t need to practice getting to the right spot, it’s usually pretty obvious where you need to go! we will run through the full logistics of the day at our final meeting, you’ll be at ease and ready to get married with me as your guide.
-
18 mths+ out - lock in your date with your vendor dream team.
6-12 mths out - I’ll send occasional tips & advice related to the ceremony part of your day to help you with the next phase of planning.
3-6 mths out - time to catch up and do some legally required paperwork, along with some fun brainstorming and planning chats.
2-3 mths out - your questionnaires are due and I get my creativity on!
1-2 mths out - final details and logistics locked in, from music selections to runsheets and anything else in between.
1-2 wks out - final meeting, logistical run through, confirm confirm confirm.
the big day - let’s get you hitched!
post wedding - i register your marriage with births, deaths and marriages and order your official certificate to be mailed to you. you leave a glowing review, and we all post your beautiful photos until the end of time :)
-
nope, sorry! i will send you an outline that includes any content i need to check with you for accuracy, along with logistical details around how things will flow, where I’ll be standing, etc.
but all that juicy goodness, the heart and soul of what i’ve created for you, that stays under wraps until the big day! you hear it for the first time along with your guests, which means your reactions are raw and real - pure gold for your photos & video!
